Are removable dbkillers allowed? Altering the dbkiller welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives, this is only permitted for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without saddlebag, without flashlight, and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty, starting from the purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
